FAQ

What people usually ask us

Sorted by topic. If you can’t find your answer, write to us and a real person will reply.

What is a digital business card?

A lightweight web page with your contact details, your photo, your social profiles and anything else you want to show. You share it by link, QR code or NFC, and whoever receives it saves your contact to their phone in one tap.

Does the person receiving my card need an app or an account?

No. The card opens in the browser of any phone or tablet, with no sign-up. Only you, as the owner, need an account to edit it.

If my details change, do I have to hand my card out again?

No. The link, the QR code and the NFC cards always point to your card, not to a copy of your details. Change something once and everyone sees it straight away.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. The card is a standard web page, and NFC reading comes built into iPhones from the XS onwards and most Android phones. On phones without NFC, the QR code does the same job with the camera.

Which languages is it available in?

The platform is available in Spanish and English and is built to add Catalan, Basque and Galician. Your card can be shown in the language of the phone that opens it.

Who is behind TARJE2ME?

Índole, a marketing, technology and creative agency based in Torrelavega (Cantabria, Spain), with 30 years of experience in design and prepress. Meet us.

What does the free plan include?

One digital card with all 12 designs, unlimited sharing by link and QR code, a contact book of up to 20 contacts, VCF or CSV export and email support. It never expires. Apple and Google Wallet coming soon.

What does the Pro plan add?

Up to 3 cards, your corporate identity, an unlimited contact book, links to your videos, PDFs and photos, analytics, a link to your calendar (Calendly, Google Calendar or Outlook) as a featured link, video-call backgrounds and priority support. It costs 2,49 € a month or 24 € a year (VAT not included). The PVC NFC card is free on any plan.

Is there a minimum term?

No. You can cancel Pro at any time and go back to the free plan without losing your main card or your contacts.

Can I use my own name in the card address?

Yes. Individual cards get an address like tarje2me.com/c/firstname-lastname. We verify your email before activating it so that every card belongs to who it says it does.

Will my card show up on Google?

Only if you want it to. By default your card is not indexed; you choose in the settings whether search engines can find it.

How are cards managed for the whole team?

From an organisation dashboard: you add people one by one or with a CSV file (you can export it from Excel), and each person gets an email invitation. Syncing from Odoo is coming soon.

Can each employee change their card however they like?

Only what you allow. The company template fixes the logo, colours and typeface, and the administrator chooses which fields can be edited and which are locked.

What happens to a card when someone leaves the company?

It is deactivated or redirected to the generic card for their department, so contacts arriving through that link are not lost. Physical NFC cards can be reassigned to someone else without reprinting.

How much does it cost for a company?

The Team plan, for 5 to 25 users, costs 4 € per user per month; the Business plan, from 25 users, 3 € per user per month billed annually (VAT not included). You pay for active users and there is a 30-day trial with no credit card. See pricing.

Can email signatures be managed centrally?

Today each person generates their email signature from their card. Centralised signatures for the whole organisation are coming soon.

Can you take care of the design and printing?

Yes, with our turnkey service: briefing, design of the digital and physical template, professional NFC printing, linking and team training.

Is it accessible?

The public card, the app and the dashboard are designed to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, and we publish an accessibility statement.

Where is the data hosted?

On servers located in the European Union. We provide the list of sub-processors and a template data processing agreement.

Do you accept e-invoicing through FACe?

Yes. We issue the e-invoice for public sector plans through FACe, using your body’s DIR3 codes.

Are you certified under Spain’s National Security Framework (ENS)?

Not yet, and we do not claim to be. We have a roadmap towards the ENS, and the dossier sets out the security measures we apply today.

Can one organisation have several entities?

Yes. A parent organisation can have child entities — council departments, agencies, autonomous bodies — each with its own template within the institutional identity.

How is it procured?

Usually as a minor contract or within an open or simplified procedure. You can request the procurement dossier, with technical specifications, unit prices, timelines and support.

How does events mode work?

It is in development and coming soon. The idea: the organiser will create the event with its dates, venue, exhibitors and attendees; each participant will get a badge with a QR code or NFC, and exhibitors will capture contacts by scanning it. If you have a fair on the calendar, book a demo.

Does it work without signal in the venue?

Not yet; it’s coming soon. The app will store contacts on the phone and sync them as soon as the connection is back, which is essential in many exhibition centres.

What reports does the organiser get?

They are planned: attendance, contacts generated by each exhibitor and a stand ranking, to export as PDF and CSV and report on grant-funded programmes.

What about attendees’ data protection?

Every capture will ask for explicit consent and be recorded with its wording and date. Each exhibitor will only see the contacts they captured themselves.

Can I buy it for a single event?

It is planned as a per-event add-on, once events mode is available. More about events mode.

What is an NFC card?

A physical card with a small chip inside. When you hold it near a phone, the phone opens your digital card with no app needed. It also carries a printed QR code for phones without NFC.

Does the NFC card need a battery or charging?

No. The chip is powered by the phone at the moment it is read, so it never runs down and never needs charging.

Can I pass my NFC card on to someone else?

Yes. Each product carries a unique ID linked to a digital card, and it can be reassigned whenever you like from the app or the dashboard.

Which products are available?

NFC card with QR code in recycled PVC, NFC phone sticker, premium wood or metal finishes and a counter display for shops, all free; and fully custom cards from 10 units, on quotation. Visit the shop.

What format should my artwork be for custom cards?

PDF/X in CMYK, with 3 mm bleed on each side. If you don’t have it, send us your design as it is or we’ll prepare it for you.

What will the Odoo integration do?

It’s coming soon. It will turn Odoo employees into cards (name, job title, department, phone, email and photo) and send the contacts you capture back to Odoo, as a contact or a lead, with their source, tags and salesperson.

Which versions of Odoo will it work with?

The integration is designed for Odoo 17 and 18, Community and Enterprise, on Odoo.sh or on-premise. In the demo we look at your specific setup.

Will I need to install anything in Odoo?

An API key will be enough to start. An installable module is also planned, adding real-time sync, a “View card” button on the employee form and the QR code on quotations and invoices.

Will I be able to choose which fields are synced?

Yes. Field mapping will be configurable.

What if I don’t use Odoo?

HubSpot, Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics are planned as secondary integrations, as are webhooks. Today you can export your contacts as CSV and VCF.

What data do you keep about people who open my card?

Only anonymous visit data: the channel (link, QR or NFC), the device type and the date. Nothing personal, unless that person chooses to leave you their details.

How is information protected?

Encryption in transit, roles and permissions, passwordless sign-in with a one-time code sent to your email, backups and an audit log. More about security.

Will my Odoo or CRM credentials be safe?

When the integrations arrive, credentials will be stored encrypted and never shown in plain text, not even to our own team from the dashboard.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes. You can export your contacts as VCF and CSV and delete your account whenever you like. For any other right, just write to us.

Do you use my data for advertising?

No. We neither sell data nor use it for third-party advertising.
